French figural clock, Japy Freres, white metal, 8 days, time and strike, movement also signed Blot & Drouard, Paris, c1880
CONDITION:
the original surfaces show only minor wear on the ornate base and detailed camel and driver. A center rear foot has broken away and is replaced by a newer metal brace. The blue enamel cartouche numbers have some fading of their gold numbers; there never was a front bezel and glass. The rear door and movement, with count wheel and bell strike, need to be better secured in the case. The pendulum has lost one brass face. Ht 18"
